"The ambition of this innovative campus resonates with the Carrefour Foundation's desire to support the food solidarity transition on a large scale."
Why is the Carrefour Foundation involved with HECTAR? What do you expect from this partnership?
We are delighted to support HECTAR from the very beginning of the project. The ambition of this innovative campus resonates with the Carrefour Foundation's desire to support the transition to solidarity-based food on a large scale.
We are committed to working together to encourage young people to learn about the challenges of sustainable agriculture and food. Our involvement with agro-ecology and urban agriculture actors for several years are also concrete examples of this.
Together, we are pursuing an objective of promoting the value of the sectors and highlighting professional prospects in the food ecosystem, by providing precise information on the professions and meeting inspiring personalities. This transmission, ensured by immersive experiences with school audiences, from primary to secondary school, seems to us to be essential to face the years to come.
The Carrefour Foundation is aware of the need to create vocations in a context of renewal of agricultural activities. This is why we have chosen to invest alongside HECTAR and to finance this groundbreaking project. The school and educational aspects of the programme are in line with the objectives shared by our two organisations.
We are certain that HECTAR will help to support the transition of agriculture and food, by training future farmers and consumers.
