Grass productivity

Did you know that dynamic rotational grazing, a worldwide revolution in grazing techniques, was invented by a French agronomist? It was in 1957 that André Voisin experimented with and validated the idea of rotating the herds on alternating grazing areas to give the grass time to grow back instead of leaving the herd on the same period continuously. The result? A threefold increase in grass production, no phytosanitary products and better quality grass for the cattle. In other words: do more with less. A practice that was one of the precursors of 21st century agro-ecology and that André Voisin, who died in 1964, took care to record in a book that is constantly being republished and translated into several languages, and which is the breviary of thousands of farmers on all continents.
